"Como's Golden Records" LP from 1958 and the vocal talent of Perry Como

This album covers the smooth gentle sound of this vocal talent from the 40’s and 50’s - and is a good starting point.

There are novelty songs so typical of the 50’s - but also the warm and relaxing hits Como is best remembered for: “Magic Moments" and “Catch a Falling Star”.

Let us also remember he was adept at tackling other genres - for example “Papa Loves Mambo” - as well as this lovely duet with Brazilian bossanova pioneer Luiz Bonfa “Manha de Carnaval”.

In these volatile times, the relaxing style of Perry Como is a welcome reminder of a simpler time for record making and production - and is to be relished - go and enjoy!
