This wonderful compilation album released in 1966 - is a sonic delight and a peep into an earlier simpler time for popular song.

The quartet of brothers (and over the years non family members) were active from the 1930’s and their first number one hit was “Paper Doll’ in 1943.
It is the sibling harmonies and smooth vocals on their tunes- especially in their 50’s and 60’s heyday- with songs such as “Cab Driver” and “Sixty Seconds Got Together” that made them an enduring act.
There is no doubt they influenced the future vocal groups in the 60’s.
Selling more than 50 million albums and making more than 2,000 recordings they covered a wide range of material (Jolson, Mancini, Ellington) and reworked and re-imagined the arrangements into their style.
